The Quelfire Cast in the range is available in 3 different sizes(50mm,110mm, and 160mm). It also can be cut to the depth of the slab. The fire collar has a locating plate nailed to the deck on the pipe’s centre point. Then the collar is located above and fixed in position. This increases installation accuracy. Plastic lids are usually used for cast in fire collars. However, they are often damaged from trafficking by MWP’s or small wheeled pallet trucks. Deck Joints’ internal testing shows that the damage occurs to the lid’s outer rim when there is a heavy impact or a load that exceeds 3-4kN. The 18mm ply lid addition increases this load capacity to over 8kN, thereby reducing the risk of cracking and damage. Lids are supplied with the screw in place for all collar sizes.
